preconference workshop by CompuTherm LLC at CALPHAD 2025

- Introduce participants to the latest features and enhancements in Pandat software.
- Demonstrate practical applications of Pandat’s capabilities in materials research.
- Provide hands-on experience with PandatX command-line interface and the PanPython SDK for high-throughput computations.
- Utilize phase diagrams and Scheil solidification simulations to mitigate detrimental intermetallic phases in secondary Al alloys.
- Generate stable and metastable material-to-material phase diagrams to understand phase stability and transformations in multi-component gradient materials.
Predict the microstructural evolution in wrought aluminum alloys during homogenization, hot extrusion/rolling, and aging treatments to optimize their mechanical properties.

Simulate diffusion processes, including diffusion couple, carburization, galvanization, and dissolution.

Predict solidification paths, dendrite arm coarsening, and microsegregation during casting, taking the cooling rate effect into consideration.
Conduct large-scale, high-throughput simulations using PandatX and the PanPython SDK to accelerate materials discovery and development.
